The Market areas are at Kakatpur, Astarang, Nuahat, Gop and Konark. A number of Small Bazars like Bangurigan, Balidokana etc. are also in existence in addition to the bi-weekly markets like Astarang Hat, Nua Hat, Kundhei Hat, Othaka Hat etc. to sell or purchase the local produce.
Only Road connectivity is available to these areas from Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur. No Rail or Air connectivity is available to Kakatpur. Puri to Konark Railway line Survey is in Pipe line.
Very good Sea Link is available from Paradeep to Nuagarh by motorised boats.
